Background: Wikia, Episode 5 Since the wikia barely has anything, and Episode 18 warning: lots of wtf is going on.

Personality: From the time she was small, Lyuze always had a great attachment to her sister, Liza. She was trained and taught to protect the sun named moon, Luna. Despite being a robot, Lyuze has always shown to be able to have emotions, to feel things much the same humans do. She cried when she fell and was comforted by her sister's presence. She was happy to know and see anything related to Luna and took great pride in being one of her protectors, constantly chanting "We must protect her." Then suddenly everything was taken from her. Liza one day returned, injured and seemed to be in a state beyond repair. She learned that their reason for existing, for living, was killed. Lyuze dedicated the rest of Liza's life to watching over her. But slowly, the Ruin took her over and before long, she crumbled to nothingness, symbolizing the start of a dead world.

Before her death, Liza told Lyuze that this was all Casshern's fault. That he was not to be allowed to live, he was a calamity brought to the world. Lyuze took her sister's dying words to heart and search out for the one who killed Luna and her sister, the man who brought the Ruin. Finding him and vowing to take revenge on him, Lyuze confronted Casshern only to find that he did not remember a thing about killing Luna. He didn't even know who he was. Lyuze stopped on her quest for revenge -for the time being- claiming that she could not take the life of someone who was ignorant to their crimes. She'd wait until he remembered, wait until the monster came back to this empty shell of a robot, before she took her revenge. She couldn't feel satisfied killing someone who didn't even know what they did wrong.

Some time passed and again the two crossed paths. Casshern still didn't remember, but he understood it was his fault. Lyuze told him about her sister and Casshern pretty much offered himself up to her destructive vengeance. Unsure as to why, Lyuze hesitated before slashing him. Soon she was putting all of her feelings, her anger, her guilt, her grief into every slash and cut she made. This monster was to die. Unfortunately for the young, confused robot, Casshern sustained enough damage that he was forced into Berserk Mode to which Lyuze stood no chance in winning against. Accepting her fate, she apologized to her sister before closing her eyes and waiting for death to descend up on her. Luckily she was saved by Casshern's companion, Friender. Afterwards, Lyuze left. She could not kill him even now.

After some time, after many encounters, Lyuze decided she'd travel with Casshern. There was talk about Luna still being alive and with Casshern determined to find her, Lyuze decided she'd do that too and perhaps get some answers as to why she couldn't bring herself to exact her revenge. During their travels, Lyuze grew especially fond of Ringo, a mysterious little girl. She was almost motherly towards the young, innocent child. She watched over Ringo and cared for her, worried, protected. After traveling with Casshern, Lyuze grew confused as to why she didn't feel complete and utter hatred towards the murderer of her sister. She began to hate herself for not being able to avenge Liza's death. Her guilt consumed her and Lyuze grew unsure. There were emotions, feelings she didn't know how to register. She wasn't human so she didn't understand the complexity of what exactly was happening to her. Encounters with her psyche and after deep thought about how she felt towards Casshern, Lyuze realized she had fallen in love with him. More guilt as she remembered Liza's last words. It took her some time, but Lyuze eventually came to terms with her feelings and the fact that she couldn't feel the need to kill Casshern anymore. She was able to forgive herself and decided she needed to move forward.

Despite all this, an encounter with a female robot, much like herself, made her grow to be self-conscious. She started to doubt her worth as a fighter. Her ruin was worsening, becoming a problem. She could feel it. In a desperate attempt to feel like she wasn't completely useless, she turned on Casshern. She brought out her blades and went after him, demanding that he fight her. She craved strength. She could feel it depleting, she was going to ruin and there was no way to stop it. She grew depressed with the timing of it all. She'd finally come to terms with her sister's death along with the feelings she had towards the very man who killed her. And now, she was to rot away and die. Despite her attacks, Casshern refused to fight back and even offered her comfort and hope. If there was anyone that could save her, it'd be Luna. They'd find her and help Lyuze. Lyuze would live, something she was finally able to admit she wanted to do.

[WARNING: This entire part is full of huge SPOILERS for the ending.] And so the days went on with their search and Lyuze grew to be incredibly caring and kind. She even found herself to be content with her life despite finding Luna and seeing that she was no longer the girl that she once protected. She refused to be 'saved' and decided to live the rest of her days with Casshern, Ringo, Ohji and Friender. During the time, she realized that she actually liked gardening. She had a knack for helping things live and grow, it was as if she was a protector again. She was happy. With a smile and a thank you, Lyuze greeted her death happily in Casshern's arms.

Capabilities and Resources:
Seeing as she's not human, Lyuze is actually pretty fast. She's faster and stronger than your average robot and is actually pretty nimble and acrobatic. She's light on her feet and quick to react. She can also take quite a bit of damage, she was able to take a hit from Casshern and land smack on some bit of metal, falling down an impressive height and be virtually unharmed. For whatever reason, the Ruin seemed to spread pretty slowly on her seeing as she was able to survive a long time without the Ruin moving on from her arm. As far as being a robot goes, her AI is impressive. She has the ability to have independent thought and feelings. She was legitimately upset about her sister's and Luna's deaths Later on, she also takes care of Ringo to the point you could say she was motherly towards the young girl. She worries about people she cares for and becomes angry when someone she loves gets hurt. She has two blades hidden in her arms.

Robot Description: Lyuze herself is a robot. Though she looks and feels pretty human to just about anyone. She has hair and synthetic skin. To most, she'd simply look like a young lady.

Land: B, She can fight and is pretty decent. She can hold her own, seeing as she was supposed to be a bodyguard for Luna.
Air: D, She can jump high up to the tops of a building or to overtake her enemy, but she's not meant to fight while suspended in air.
Sea: D, She can be in it and swim around for a while, but don't expect her to stay in it for too long.
Space: D, Not meant to be in space, you can have fun watching her float around, though you'll hurt her pride.
